‘Coille Dhathe’

Coille Dhathe translates from Scottish Gaelic to ‘Colourful Forest’.

After a visit to Scotland reignited my creative flame, I continued to be inspired and influenced by the landscape that surrounds me. As my thanks to the Scottish landscape on the Solway Coast I thought I could name a series of colourful works in its honour, even though the pieces in this gallery were created in a variety of places, from Scotland to Finland to Sicily to England to Spain.

Without creativity, especially drawing, I’m not sure who I am as a person, let alone an artist, so I owe a lot to Kirkcudbright, Rockcliffe and, Dhoon Bay, for giving it back to me in 2023.
