Underwater Forest

This part of the ‘Lines of my Earth’ focuses more on the psychological, the personal and subconscious. The worlds you see here aren’t real, or are they? They live in my subconscious, so who is to say they don’t really exist?
Based on snippets of dreams, the weird things that happen in the corner of our eyes, and the imaginings of a landscape that flies past you in the car, I found my character lost in an underwater forest.

On the way to paradise

I mourned the loss of 3 McDonald’s bags,

5 plastic bottles,

A bin bag of mysteries,

And an old, abandoned mattress.

A beautiful barn owl appeared in the corner of my eye

only to become a plastic bag

floating in the wind.
